Education is an investment in the sense that parents, people or organisation put resources into itin order to make profit in the long run.Education is a social investment and therefore the return thus the profit might be realized later,It needs a lot of time for pupil, energy and emotions that one spends in education to bear fruit.

There are number of investors in the Education.Parents asindividauls, both government as well as inter-governmental organizations,e.g. Catholic Relief Agency,Adventist Relief Agency and foreign donors are all uinvestors. They could also be called stakeholders. All these who have a stake in education could appropriately be referred to as share holders.Education according to the 1992 Republicof ghana constitution is a right and the state is to ensure that it is accessible to all citizens OUR SCHOOL CREST Our school crest was designed by Dr.E.C. Nyarko in may 1966. When he was a teacher in the then Aduman training College. Our crest is made of five components shield,Adinkra symbol,Ribbon,Inscription to us, the forefathers, the future and the world at large. The shield is interposed. This makes it look like one. In the wider and the general terms, shields are used to protect ourselves from attack in wars.Life is war so we need to protect ourselves from poverty, ignorance, diseases and all spheres of life. The interposition can be interpretd in variuos ways. One is a care or protection the parents have for their children. Our chiefs and elders took care of the land on which the school is built. Another meaning is the handing over or transition.

The school is not for one person or group of persons, one generation hands over to another. This philosophy made the founding fathers thought of their descending benefiting or suffering from any action they took at a point in time, hence the slogan,NKYIRIMMA.We need to take care of what we have now so that posterity can also benefit from it.The inscription,KNOWELEDGE IS POWER is locatedin the ribbon under the shield. This implies that if we go to school,we should try to knowledge and skills which would empower us wherever we find ourselves. WHICH, WHY THAT SCHOOL In all school of th world, some schools are considered 'better' than others. Infact, based on the such a judgement, parents often go to great length to have their ward enrolled in one school rather than another. One yardstick for making this judgement is students' achievement espectcially general performance in public examination.Furthermore, among some experts in education, opinions about school are further narrowed down to subjects areas,For example, one often hears that school A is better school B in mathematics and science while the latter is is better than the former in english language and the liberal Arts.

Whatever the focus of these comparative statements, there remains the fact that schools do vary interms of average student achievement. Why is it then that some schools have hige average student achievement, while others have low average student achievement? The first reason is that some schools are located in privileged areas in the sense that the students some come from homes where parents care about their wards education, ensure that children are well-fed,show interest in their school work and provide easy access to books in the home.On the other hand, there are schools which serve less privilege communities and whose students come from homes where parents are unable to provide the necessary support services for good academic work.Students in the first type of school will generally have a higher rate than those in the second type. Another reason for the difference in academic achievement between schools is how well the school is equipped.Schools that have good laboratories, libaries, ample spaces, places to sit and write for every student and optimum-sized classrooms usually record a higher standard of student achievement than those where the basic equipment is lacked or where the students are crammed into inadequate spaces. The quality of the teachers also has to do with the differences in the student achievement between schools.A teacher does that not have a good grasp of his subject matter nor is committed to his job cannot produce an outstanding student. On the other hand, standard generally attain a high standard where a teacher is an expert in his field, knows how to structure the material to be learnt, demand a lot from his student and motivates them. Also school management ahs been found to have a relationship with student's achievement.

Students perform better in the school where the leadership is enthusiastic and creative than in the schools where the principal and the teachers adopt a casual attidue to thier job. Finally discipline cannot be divorced in the learning process, and this is often seen from the perspective of general student behavior where student show a disregards for the rules and regulations that guide the learning by disobeying their teachers, neglecting their homework or playing truant, they cannot make any reasonable progress. On the other hand students who comport themselves will have laid a good foundation for academic access.
